About KazuNori

The Nozawa Group — the team behind SUGARFISH — opened KazuNori to do one thing: hand roll sushi in the Japanese counter tradition, made to order and eaten immediately before the nori softens. The format is deliberate: you sit at the counter, a chef places each roll directly in front of you as it's completed, and you eat it while it's warm. The six-roll set covers the Nozawa standards — yellowtail, salmon, toro, sea bream, bay scallop, and a choice of rotating specialty — and the price lands significantly below comparable sushi quality in the city. Multiple LA locations exist, but the DTLA counter on Main Street remains the original and sets the standard.
