Missy Robbins followed Lilia with Misi, a few blocks south on Kent Avenue, and stripped the idea down further: a menu of roughly a dozen pastas and a dozen vegetable dishes, and effectively nothing else. Pasta is rolled and cut in a glass-walled room at the entrance, in view of everyone waiting, which is either theater or accountability depending on your temperament. The occhi filled with sheep's-milk cheese and topped with lamb sausage is the dish that gets ordered at every table. The vegetables are not a concession — they are half the reason to come. The concrete-and-timber room looks out toward the East River and fills every night it is open.
