Williamsburg slice shop with a line down the block — thin, floppy, and widely called the city's best slice
L'Industrie has a line outside almost every hour it is open, and the line is justified. Massimo Laveglia's slices are wide, thin, and floppy, with a dough that is fermented long enough to actually taste like something and a restrained hand on the cheese. The burrata slice — a plain slice with a scoop of burrata and basil dropped on after the bake — is the item that made the reputation. It costs a few dollars and it is better than most twenty-dollar pizzas in the city. There is essentially nowhere to sit. Eat it standing on South 2nd Street like everyone else.
