Chrissy's is a very small room on Nassau Avenue where Chris Hansell turns out pizza with a crust that is crisp and lacquered on the bottom and airy through the middle. It started as a pop-up run out of his Bushwick apartment in 2021 and built a following large enough to justify a permanent shop by 2024. The house sells whole pies only — there are no slices — and the menu is deliberately short. The pepperoni cups properly. It is the kind of restaurant that generates genuinely obsessive followings, and the obsession is not hard to understand. Plan around the booking rather than hoping.
