Junghyun Park's two-Michelin-star Korean tasting counter in NoMad — the most refined Korean fine dining in America
Junghyun and Ellia Park opened Atomix in 2018 as a Korean tasting counter that operates on a completely different premise than the restaurants that preceded it: each course arrives with a hand-lettered card explaining its ingredients and cultural context, and the cooking draws from Korean culinary tradition with the technical range of French fine dining. The result is the most coherent expression of Korean cuisine as fine dining in the United States. Two Michelin stars since 2019. The counter seats ten at a time, the progression moves from delicate to deeply savory, and the experience of eating here — the precision, the storytelling, the calibrated hospitality — makes clear why Atomix has become one of the best restaurants in New York.
