LA's splashiest new rooftop — Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian fusion under a $20M retractable dome in the heart of West Hollywood
SUSHISAMBA landed in West Hollywood in March 2026 with enough spectacle to silence every skeptic: an 11,000-square-foot rooftop above La Peer Drive, a $20 million retractable dome designed by Dizon Collective, nightly DJs and dancers under the lights, and a Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian menu that works harder than the room asks it to. The crispy tuna rice is the order everyone makes and defends; the seafood-rich moqueca mixta is the dish that earns the kitchen's reputation; the shiso caipirinha is the cocktail version of why you came. It is unquestionably a scene — one of those rare new openings that feels genuinely, specifically Los Angeles. Executive chefs Maxwell Terheggen and John Um keep the food anchored while everything else flies.
