Playa Provisions is Top Chef winner Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts' 7,000-square-foot beach house, a block from the sand in Playa del Rey, and it solves the problem of a group that cannot agree. Four concepts share the building: King Beach, a market counter open from 7:30am for coffee, pastries and sandwiches; Small Batch, an ice cream window doing Thai iced tea and chocolate malted crunch; Grain, a small whiskey bar; and Dockside, the actual dining room, where Williamson's menu runs on California coastal seafood — fish tacos, a lobster roll, whatever came in that week. Weekend brunch is served 10am to 3pm. Come in the afternoon, eat outside, and walk down to the water afterwards.
